Communication and training activities have a strategic relevance for our organization. Raising awareness on standardization values and on the benefits coming from products and services in compliance with standards is of utmost importance: this process gives a start to that virtuous circle leading the market to ask for standardized products, and organizations, through a deeper analysis of standards, to learn behaviours which are systematically based on the status of the art. With the purpose of exploiting the synergies existing between communication and training, it was decided to combine them in one single Area, reporting to the Operating Management. This Area is also tasked with interfacing with the so-called “UNI Points”, acting as our representatives all over the italian territory, in accomplishment of the project mentioned before, regarding the review of their structures and mission. Considering that the institutional task of UNI is mainly carried out by using its available cultural and professional resources, a great emphasis was put on the need for a personnel policy: this delicate and complex process, aimed at optimizing the relation between internal goals and professional resources, resulted in the creation of the “General Affairs and Personnel Area”. Expected to support our General Director, this Area was set up to provide for a better management of the personnel policy and of the monitoring of our human resources. Finally - in order to better support the awareness raising strategies oriented to our political and public authorities - it was decided that our office in Rome would directly report to our Director General, except for some activities specifically made for our Operating and Technical Managements. |
