CEN/TC 455/WG 3 and WG 5 about fertilising products: call for tenders for the recruitment of laboratories and one sample manager.

The European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) has been requested to draft harmonised standards and European standardisation deliverables in support of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 for EU fertilising products which lays down rules on the making available on the market of EU fertilising products and amending Regulations (EC) No 1069/2009 and (EC) No 1107/2009 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003 (FPR).

The FPR (Fertilizing Products Regulation) aims at promoting an increased use of recycled nutrients to further aid the development of a circular economy and allow a more resource-efficient general use of nutrients, while reducing EU’s dependency on nutrients from third countries.

In this context, CEN/TC 455 “Plant biostimulants” WG 3 (“Pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms”) and WG 5 (“Labelling and denominations”) Secretariat, held by UNI, launches the following open call for the recruitment of laboratories (a maximum 12) for the ILS and one sample manager.

1. Open call for tenders for the selection of (a maximum 12) Laboratories to participate to the Inter Laboratory Studies organised for the European Working Group CEN/TC 455/WG 3 “Pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms” and the European Working Group CEN/TC 455/WG 5 “Labelling and denominations” projects in the frame of the European Commission Standardisation Request M/564 to the European Committee for Standardisation as regards the EU fertilising products in support of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

2. Open call for tenders for the selection of one sample manager to be in charge of the preparation, characterization and supply of test samples to be used in the Interlaboratory Studies organised for the European Working Groups CEN/TC 455/WG 3 “Pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms” and CEN/TC 455/WG 5 “Labelling and denominations” in the frame of the European Commission Standardisation Request M/564 to the European Committee for Standardisation as regards the EU fertilising products in support of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
