In occasione dell’Assemblea Geneale di United Circles, UNI organizza un nuovo evento gratuito.

Nel contesto della quarta General Assembly del progetto europeo United Circles, che si terrà presso la sede UNI dal 15 al 17 settembre 2026, avrà luogo il nuovo evento dedicato alle città sostenibili e il ruolo della normazione a tema:

L’incontro riunirà rappresentanti delle istituzioni, figure esperte di normazione, figure ricercatrici, imprese e organizzazioni internazionali per approfondire il contributo della simbiosi industriale-urbana alla realizzazione di città e comunità più sostenibili, circolari e resilienti.

Al centro del confronto sarà posto il rapporto tra innovazione e normazione, con particolare attenzione alle priorità europee e alle attività in corso nell’ambito del CEN/TC 465/WG 4 “Industrial Symbiosis for Sustainable Cities and Communities”.

L’evento offrirà inoltre l’opportunità di riflettere su come le norme tecniche possano favorire il trasferimento dei risultati della ricerca verso soluzioni concretamente applicabili e pronte per il mercato attraverso il confronto in una tavola rotonda. La tavola rotonda sarà anche un’occasione di confronto tra i diversi portatori di interesse sui principali fabbisogni, ostacoli e priorità per una più ampia diffusione della simbiosi industriale-urbana e sul ruolo che la normazione potrà svolgere nel sostenerne lo sviluppo.

Industrial Symbiosis for Sustainable Cities and Communities Standardization Meets Innovation: From Circular Ideas to Market-Ready Solutions

Agenda

The event will bring together representatives from public institutions, research organizations, industry, international organizations, and the standardization community to explore the contribution of industrial-urban symbiosis to the sustainable development of territories and local communities. During the event, participants will learn about the contributions of the United Circles project to the advancement of industrial symbiosis, as well as a new pre-standardization initiative focusing on feasibility-to-finance approaches. This initiative aims to support the transition from feasibility assessment to the development of more mature and investment-ready circular infrastructure projects. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between innovation and standardization, with a focus on European priorities and the ongoing activities of CEN/TC 465/WG 4 “Industrial Symbiosis for Sustainable Cities and Communities.” The event will also provide an opportunity to reflect on how standards can facilitate the transfer of research results into practical, market-ready solutions through discussions held during a dedicated round table. The round table will further serve as a platform for dialogue among different stakeholders on the main needs, barriers, and priorities for the wider deployment of industrial-urban symbiosis, as well as on the role that standardization can play in supporting its development.
